From the Library

Hi  all - we had some great discussions in library today about summer reading plans and suggestions. I highlighted some books and the kids shared some suggestions too. In order to put all the info in one place, I started a new folder in Schoology on the library page. There you will find the link to the public librarian's suggestions (The Missing Piece of Charlie O'Riley and Shouting at the Rain are in there) and also some links to other book lists and suggestions from me. 

I also started a discussion in each class folder "What books do you recommend to your classmates for summer reading?" Maybe you could have the kids log in and contribute something next week when you are looking for things to do with your kids.

Weekly Update 6/12/19

Hello folks, Your kids must be gassed, BECAUSE WE JUST GOT BACK FROM CAMP!!!!!!! But all work and no play, so many fun days but learning is what to do every other day. Math, science, bottle rockets, civics, and colonial market place. Promotion is coming up and we are ready, Goodbye 5th grade and hello Middle School! We're going to Sandell Park to have fun and to celebrate, chaperones are needed. Field Day too and that WILL be fun too. Last week of after school clubs (except Kids Co.) In Art we are finishing up clay and glazing it. We're done with fitness testing in P.E. More fun stuff in P.E. Fun and Fun, Learn and Learn! All Library books are due on the 19th. Be nice to your fathers' and give them a gift on Sunday! Bye!
