Shakespeare Update

Hello Brown and Hill families,

I wanted to send out a Shakespeare update. First, a dates reminder.

Mr. Brown’s Class Performance Date: Thursday 5/9/19 - shows at 1pm and 7pm  

Mr. Hill's Class Performance Date: Tuesday 5/14/19 - shows at 1pm and 7pm  

Call time for evenings will be at 6:30pm (at the latest).

Here is a message from Heather about costumes. Please do not stress. If for any reason a student needs help procuring an item, we can help!

“Twelfth Night Costumes

-all costumes and costume bags should be at school no later than WEDNESDAY MAY 1^st.

-if the costume is bolded the student should provide if they are able.

-no one should feel  obligated to go out and buy something-if that’s not something that is possible for your family we have other options.

-good and thrifty options for costumes include Goodwill, Value Village, Target, Old Navy, Fred Meyer, and Amazon.

Sir Andrew-

beach or swim shorts, Hawaiian shirt, sandals, orange knee socks

Attendants, Servants, Officers, Guards, Sea Captain, Priest-

Black pants, black shoes, white button up or polo shirts, sunglasses

Clown-

Black and white striped shirt, black capris or leggings or black pants, black shoes

Duke Orsino-

Khakis, Blazer, button-up shirt with tie, dress shoes or sandals

Antonio-

Jeans,  button-up shirt, dark shoes

Fabian-

Bright, mis-matched colorfully patterned beach shorts and shirt, sandals

Malvolio-

Black polo, black pants, dress shoes and dark socks

Maria-

Blue bandana, simple blue dress, apron, casual sandals, leggings

Olivia-

Navy sundress, navy sweater, dressier sandals or flats, leggings or bike shorts for under dress

Priest-

Monk’s robe and hat

Sebastian-

White polo, blue plaid shirt, navy slacks, sandals

Sir Toby Belch-

Swim trunks, bright Hawaii shirt or bowling shirt, sandals

Valentine -

Black pants, black shoes, white shirt, black vest

Viola/Cesario-

Viola-sundress, white polo, blue plaid shirt, navy slacks, sandals

A lot of characters have special hats, headbands, jewelry, fake mustaches, and sunglasses. I have all of these. Every student has their own hat or headband. These are never shared.

Students should bring in their costume pieces in a shopping bag with their name on it. Students should also make sure they wear dark socks with dress shoes. Girls wearing dresses from me may want to wear a tank top and leggings under their dresses. Also most folks wearing or borrowing an overshirt from me should bring a white tshirt to wear as an undershirt. The pieces that students provide should stay at school in their costume bags. And sandals should have a back-no flip-flops or slides, please.”
